A Rainy Night in Dresden

A Rainy Night in Dresden

Dresden greeted us with cool breezes and blue skies when we arrived in the city on Monday, but by the evening, thunder and rain descended. It did not damper the fervor of the crowd at the Albertinum that evening however! Several curtain calls and two encores closed the evening as the crowd stomped their feet in the European tradition. Check out a couple of photos from the first day in Dresden!

Today a group from the orchestra travels to the Terezin memorial for a tour and a performance by the Clarion Quartet, composed of Pittsburgh Symphony members. Look for more about this experience later. (Read more about the Terezin visit.)
