This Friday night, April 15, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra’s concert features the genre-defying organ virtuoso Cameron Carpenter. Following the concert, at 10 p.m., I’ll be hosting and DJing an after-party in Heinz Hall — remixing the very same music you will have heard at the concert. Drinks, dancing, mash-ups — FUSE@PSO vibes will abound!
I’ve been watching a video in which Cameron talks about and plays examples from the piece he’ll be performing — his arrangement of Rachmaninoff’s Variations on a Theme of Paganini. I’m about to go in and cut up all sorts of audio from this and remix it. Take a look:
Looking forward to seeing you Friday night!
