Pittsburgh Sensation Jackie Evancho Returns to Heinz Hall to Perform with Members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra
Evancho, who first gained fame as a runner up on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” at 10 years old, releases her third studio album, “Awakening,” on September 23. Her performance with the Pittsburgh Symphony will feature the lush classical-crossover compositions for which she has become known, as well as the more contemporary material that can be found on her new album. Evancho also will sing several original songs and music from Broadway.
“Of course there are always going to be some classical pieces but I wanted to reinvent the pop songs and make them my own,” said Evancho of the new album. “The only thing that mattered was that the song spoke to me.”
Tickets, ranging in price from $39 to $179, go on sale September 8 and can be purchased through the Heinz Hall box office at 412-392-4900 or pittsburghsymphony.org.
