Portable box office will be in Hermitage, New Castle on Wednesday, March 14
PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSO) will take its portable box office to Mercer and Lawrence counties on March 14, making available discounted tickets ahead of the PSO’s “St. Patrick’s Pops” concert on March 19 at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in New Castle.
The live box office will be open Wednesday, March 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Office Supply Stuff in the Shenango Valley Mall in Hermitage, Mercer County, and from 4 to 6 p.m., in the lobby of the Scottish Rite Cathedral in New Castle.
On that day only, patrons will be able to buy tickets at a 20 percent discount to the PSO’s March 19 concert, which will feature Irish music and internationally renowned fiddler and Grammy Award-winner Natalie MacMaster as guest soloist.
As part of the Education Program developed for the community, a special package for families with children up to high-school age is available. Children may get free tickets if accompanied by a parent when the parent purchases a $17 ticket. Both the free ticket and tickets for the parents will be available at the PSO’s portable box office.
The PSO’s “A St. Patrick’s Pops” concert will begin at 8 p.m. on Monday, March 19. Dancers from Burke’s School of Irish Dance, of Youngstown, Ohio, will perform in the lobby, starting at 7:15 p.m. The PSO concert is part of the 2011-2012 Columbia Gas Symphony Series at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in New Castle.
