PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSO) will open Heinz Hall to the public on Wednesday, March 2, allowing the public a sneak peek during a PSO rehearsal and tour the historic building.
The Open House will be held from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 2. From 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the public will be able to sneak a peek at the orchestra during rehearsal. From 12:30 to 2 p.m., the staff will offer tours of Heinz Hall.
During the event, the PSO will offer 50% off introductory 2010-2011 BNY Mellon Grand Classics Choose Your Own 4-concert subscription packages. Subscriptions may be purchased in person, by phone at 412.392.4900 or online at www.pittsburghsymphony.org. This discount is good all day ONLY on Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Certain restrictions apply.
Prizes, including restaurant gift certificates, movie passes and event tickets, will be drawn with no purchase necessary. However, patrons who subscribe on March 2 will receive five additional tickets to enhance their chances of winning.
Food will be provided by Panera and Del’s, while the Common Plea will provide coffee. WSHH and WJAS are media partners for the Open House.
