COLUMBIA GAS TO SPONSOR PSO CONCERTS AT THE SCOTTISH RITE CATHEDRAL IN NEW CASTLE

PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSO) announced today that Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania, Inc. is becoming the title sponsor of the concert series at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in New Castle, effective immediately.

The sponsorship includes the final PSO concert of the current season, as well as the entire 2011-2012 season at that venue.

The first concert of the Columbia Gas Symphony Series at the Scottish Rite Cathedral will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 10. The concert will feature guest conductor Herbert Blomstedt and guest pianist Garrick Ohlsson in a program that includes Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 1 and Symphony No. 1. Dates for the concerts in the 2011-2012 season will be announced prior to the April concert.

This season marks the 10th anniversary of PSO performances at the Scottish Rite Cathedral.
