JOHN WILLIAMS CONCERT CANCELED

PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSO) announced today that the John Williams pension fund concert scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 9 has been canceled.

Due to a recent back injury, John Williams will be unable to travel to Pittsburgh to conduct Tuesday’s (Nov. 9) Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra concert. He sends his sincere regrets and his best wishes to audience and orchestra alike, and he looks forward to rescheduling his long-awaited appearance with the PSO at the soonest possible date.

The PSO is presently working on rescheduling the concert and will release details when they are available.

Ticket holders to the John Williams concert will be refunded in full for their tickets. Please call the box office at 412.392.4900 for refunds and more information.

    Why not give ticket buyers the option of keeping the seats they have for the rescheduled concert? I had pretty good seats – I doubt if I’m as lucky if I have to buy them for the rescheduled appearance. :(

    Cameron, people who purchased tickets for the concert will get a pre-sale offer, but the PSO cannot guarantee they will get the same seats.
