Previewing the Tour Repertoire – Blog Host Kevin

This weekend’s concerts are what we’ve deemed to be "tour-worthy" – that is, it’s the program that the PSO will be taking on tour next week to the West Coast, including performances in Santa Barbara, Palm Desert, Costa Mesa, San Francisco, and more. The concert features piano soloist Jonathan Biss, a 26-year old superstar, performing Schumann’s piano concerto (yep, Schumann wrote only one concerto for piano…). The orchestra is led by Artistic Advisor Sir Andrew Davis:

I just walked out of this afternoon’s matinee, and I’m still humming the (very hummable) ending bars of Sibelius’ Fifth – outstanding!
